Yen Kim

Yen Kim
Support Coordinator | Social Worker | Enrolled Nurse | Bilingual Health Educator

Yen is an enrolled nurse and a social worker. She has significant experience working with people who have a physical or mental health issue living in the community or in an institution. She is able to build up their confidence to manage crisis episode and maintain their well-being.

Yen is passionate about assisting and supporting people with a disability to achieve their goals in life. She has a deep understanding of highly difficult behaviours in people with developmental disabilities, both physically and psychologically. As a result, she believes that the person-centred care approach is best able to provide holistic care for her clients.

Yen has also completed a Master of Applied of Gerontology from Flinders University. She has a significant experience working with people who have physical or mental health issues and are living in the community or in care settings. Supporting clients with early onset of dementia and helping them to rebuild confidence and strength are areas of particular interest to Yen.

Being fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka, Yen is also highly developed in interpersonal skills and is able to liaise with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Yen is particularly interested in advocating for clients who have experienced abuse in a care and community setting.

Margaret Yung

Margaret Yung
Support Coordinator | Social Worker | Parenting Educator

Margaret is an experienced social worker, broadening her extensive knowledge in the field throughout her 20-year career.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work and is a current member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

She brings with her valuable health knowledge to provide strength-based and solution-focused approach for the participants. In addition, her clinical skills in counselling and parental support advice, and her understanding of complex health needs enhance her awareness of the needs of participants.

Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin and having previously worked with diverse communities, including seniors and Cultural and Linguistic Diverse clients, she has extensive understanding of their needs. Having a broad knowledge of the available community support services and resources she is able to help her clients achieve their optimal goal.

She is passionate about supporting participants to engage fully in life through holistic plans which allow informed choice and control in their life.
